Veterinarian
Dr. Cynthia Willems is a dedicated small animal veterinarian with a special interest in public health, internal medicine, and dentistry. A proud 2018 graduate of Cornell University College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Willems combines her scientific expertise with a compassionate approach to care.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Willems attended Rutgers University for her undergraduate studies before continuing on to Cornell. She is proud of her diverse family heritage, with Dutch and Ecuadorian roots, which has given her a unique perspective on the world. After veterinary school, she returned home to the Jersey Shore where she has been practicing ever since.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Willems enjoys spending quality time with her husband, Ritchie, and their two beloved pets—Petri, a playful dog, and Finn, a curious cat. She’s also an avid traveler, having explored over 40 countries (and counting!)—and she’s always plotting her next adventure. When she's not globetrotting, she enjoys reading and soaking up the sun whenever she can.
