Veterinarian

Dr. Robert G. Cimer is a seasoned and compassionate veterinarian based in Toms River, New Jersey with more than 30 years of experience in small animal medicine. A lifelong resident of southern New Jersey, he earned his Bachelor of Science from Rutgers University-Cook College in 1984, followed by his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1988.

Dr. Cimer began his career practicing farm animal medicine in central Missouri before returning home to focus on companion animal care. In 2003, he founded Calling All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in Toms River, where he provided personalized, full-service veterinary care to pets and their families for many years. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Cimer is actively involved in community leadership and animal welfare. He has served on the Board of Directors for Toms River Community Medical Center and is a long time member of the Toms River Elks Lodge #1875, where he previously held the role of Exalted Leader.

He is also the author of Almost a Real Doctor: One Veterinarian's Struggle to Survive in a Dog-Eat-Dog World, a candid and humorous reflection of his life in veterinary medicine. 

Outside of work, Dr. Cimer enjoys spending time with his wife and children, and he is passionate about mentoring future veterinary professionals. He believes deeply in compassionate care, lifelong learning, and giving back to the community he calls home.
